Tool Kit Consists of: One Pry-Bar One Check Removal Tool for 2-1/2" to 4" One Check Removal Tool for 6" *NOTE: 4" Tool works for 6" SE. 6" Tool works for 8" SE.

Purpose: A cam check removal tool for the stainless steel {SILVER BULLET} series of backflow prevention valve assemblies manufactured by Ames Company.

Need: The check valves in the Ames Company backflow prevention assemblies, in some instances, can be difficult to remove due to: (1) Limited access through the top opening cover plate, (2) Lack of leverage to dislodge seat, (3) O-ring seats over a period of time seal so tight as to require some additional torque to disengage seat.

ITEM: E-Z OUT WRENCH.  Designed to help remove the cam check valves in the Stainless Steel {SILVER BULLET} series of backflow prevention assemblies by Ames Company by supplying torque and leverage needed to disengage the seat so the valve might be removed by hand.

Application and Instructions:

The check valves are accessible through the grooved bolted access cover at the top of assembly.  See pictures below:

#1 Check valve is disengaged by placing the E-Z Out Wrench with the pin side of the tool facing the check valve.		Place pry-bar between pins on top or flat surface.  Turn counter-clockwise to loosen, remove tool and unscrew by hand.
#2 Check valve with pins in face of valve is disengaged by placing flat side of tool over the pins in the check valve.   Using pry-bar, loosen by turning counter-clockwise, remove tool and unscrew by hand.  Use 5 or 4 pin slots as marked on underside of tool.
