Reduced pressure detector assembly
The 5001 is designed to provide maximum protection to the potable water system by preventing backflow or back-siphonage from the fire protection system containing contaminated substances. The 5001 also detects leaks or unauthorized usage of water from fire protection lines. Ames 5001 consists of two independently operating patented Cam-Check assemblies with a hydraulically operated differential relief valve connected between the check valves. Resilient wedge shut-off valves are available.
